Fall/Winter 2016

This charming seaside home was a collaboration with Polhemus Savery DaSilva and interior decorator Robin Pelissier.  It features traditional white painted inset cabinetry with floating shelves and architectural brackets.  Not pictured in this spread is a beautiful curved island that suits the home’s whimsical nature.

Custom closets at FKC

It seems we are taking a break from kitchens this July as we complete our third custom closet renovation in a row.  The three projects have featured completely different cabinet styles, from traditional beaded inset cabinetry with applied moulding detail, to a more transitional approach, to sleek and contemporary frameless cabinets as seen being built in the background here.  All three will feature plenty of mirrored doors and tons of storage.

By Emily Levitt

The last time I had seen the interior of the house my footsteps echoed in the empty rooms. Built as a spec house by Rob Thompson, the home had been lovingly designed by Sally Weston for an imagined future family. I can remember walking through every room of the house picturing how I would decorate the space.

What a thrill to see the home featured in New England Home, with books on the shelves in the family room, cushions on the window seats, and dishes in the kitchen cabinets. The project is a great example of how classic architecture and traditional cabinetry can be “updated” with more contemporary accessories.

From Dawn to Dusk- an installer’s trip to MV

Our installer Michael Ritson recently completed the installation of a beautiful Shaker-style cherry kitchen on Martha’s Vineyard- just in time for the summer season. Here is his photo chronicle of the long journey to get this kitchen finished. Michael left at 4 am to catch the 6 am ferry to the Vineyard, and by the time he crossed the Bourne bridge to get home the sun was setting.
